This is the latest square for my Great American Aran Afghan.  This is the Suzanne Atkinson square.  I really love this one because it’s one of those “picture” squares.  This was fun and easy to complete.  The only part I really didn’t like was making the sun’s rays separately and then sewing each one on.  I don’t think I did the greatest job, but it doesn’t look too horrible.

I’ve also decided to remake a couple of the squares I’ve already completed.  I had chosen a yarn that looked brown, but after knitting it up and looking at the two squares I knit with it, it looks almost purple.  It looks even worse next to the other shades of white and brown I’ve chosen.  Luckily, they are two of the easiest squares in the book, so it should only take a day or two to remake them.  I’m also planning on remaking a square that has a few noticeable mistakes.  I figure I’m spending this much time making this afghan, I might as well make sure I’m happy with the result.
